This story is a soap opera and not a TV serie. In Brazil, soap operas have generally counted numbers of chapters and last about 8 months.

Yes, exceptions occur and happen adjustments according to the index of hearing. To our misfortune, 'Em Familia' is one of the most boring soap operas of recent times. Its index of hearing is one of the lowest recorded by TV Globo and therefore the number of chapters has been reduced, making this one of the shorter soap operas produced by the broadcaster.
The only good part is precisely Clarina and even then the portion of the population that calls itself "Brazilian Family" is against the presence of gay couples in the storielines. The prejudice is still present and gay characters in novels are portrayed as caricatures and funny figures. Em Familia was the first telenovela to show closer of reality a homosexual relationship and that is bothering many people. Including religious institutions. It's a shame this situation, but we keep fighting for this lovely couple.
